Potential Biomarkers for 2,4-D

Both the parent chemical (2,4-D) and possible metabolites were considered as possible biomarkers for 2,4-D exposure, and both blood and urine were evaluated as the biological medium.  The advantages and disadvantages of each are outlined below and the selected combinations of biomarker and biological medium for BE value derivation are indicated.
